Counts towards: SSSC 23 Things Leadership – Leadership Fundamentals
Introduction
360 degree assessment is a process in which you rate your own leadership performance, and ask people who know you well in a work capacity to rate your performance too. These feedback tools are designed to help you reflect on your leadership capability and identify your strengths and areas for development.
Instructions
There’s a tool for managers and one for frontline workers. Guidance on how to use the tools is provided throughout. You need to create a user profile to begin your self-assessment.
Complete your self-assessment.
Once you have completed this, click on the feedback button to invite others who know you in a work capacity to provide feedback to you.
Once you have received feedback you should download a report and share the findings with your manager.
Write a statement, in a minimum of 200 words, about your experience of using the tool, including:
- How completing the feedback tool has had an impact on you
- An example of how your practice has changed, or may change, as a result of completing the tool
You can provide the statement on the open badge application form or provide a link to your own *blog/portfolio. You may find it helpful to look at Recording Your Learning and Reflecting on Leadership.
*If you want to use a blog or ePortfolio entry as evidence, you might find our guide to preparing and publishing your evidence useful.
